Eddie Argos is nothing if not fickle, the last Art Brut single ‘Emily Kane’ had him declaring his undying unrequited love for his first girlfriend ‘Emily Kane’ “All my friends think I’m insane, I’m still in love with Emily Kane”, a mere four months after this on the new Art Brut single ‘Good Weekend’, he’s already singing “Got myself a brand new girlfriend”. It’s been a busy few months for Art Brut since the release of their debut album ‘Bang Bang Rock & Roll’ back in May. The album rightly saw them heralded as one of the most unique and entertaining of the new wave of British rock bands, MOJO proclaimed “Every generation needs an Art Brut” whilst Playlouder found ‘Bang Bang Rock & Roll’ to be “the most original independent album in years…as clear as crystal a piece of untainted genius”.
